Hayden Panettiere, 'Nashville' star, confirms Wladimir Klitschko engagement
"There's a very large diamond ring on your ring finger," Kelly Ripa notes during the interview. "I'm not sure if you want to announce anything ... does that signify anything, is that a promise of something?" Panettiere confirms, "It might be ... I mean, I think it speaks for itself."
Reports of Panettiere's engagement first broke back in March. She and Klitschko dated off-and-on for four years. Panettiere says she hasn't picked out a date for the wedding yet because of her busy work schedule, but it sounds like she's pretty excited about the engagement.
To promote the return of "Nashville," Panettiere also stopped by "Good Morning America" to talk about the ABC drama.
"This season it's even more fun because she kind of deserves it," she says of her character Juliette Barnes' new enemy. "This season I'm not going after somebody who doesn't deserve it. We talked about it in the first season where there's somebody who's always digging at your heels and waiting to take that spot and that's this girl. It's like dealing with a new Juliette Barnes."
Juliette will also have some new love interests in Season 2, and Panettiere jokes she makes the men cast to play her onscreen flames go through a screening process with her before they get their parts. And just because Juliette hasn't found long term love yet doesn't mean she never will.
"Luckily for her she's young enough, she has time. We've all made a few mistakes, I think all can say," Panettiere says, adding of her attractive male costars, "I'm like, who am I making out with now?"
