While supermodel Heidi Klum may be a hero after saving her son and two nannies from a strong ocean undertow during a Hawaiian vacation, witnesses who saw the ordeal and didn't lend a hand are a different story.
After Klum's harrowing rescue, photos of the entire incident appeared online, showing the "Project Runway" host pulling her son and nannies from the ocean. Whoever took photos decided that was the priority, rather than helping out.
According to People, Klum says the pictures make the situation look worse than it actually was, but Klum and her family are surprised they "were being photographed and no one would come help."
As far as being a hero, Heidi says, "I did what any mother would do." She also has a warning, "Never underestimate the power of the ocean."
