Herman Cain talks Gloria Allred on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live,' says newest accuser was a surprise
Cain appeared on the show in the wake of major controversy, and he had a good chuckle about it all. "We had a little surprise show up on TV," Cain laughed, referring to Sharon Bialek, the fourth person to come forward and accuse Cain of sexually harassing her while he was the CEO of Godfather's Pizza.
"At least it wasn't one of the many that have the first name Anonymous, so now this one actually had a name and a face and we were gonna see who it was and what it was, and tomorrow we're gonna have a press conference," he told Kimmel.
Bialek, of course, has hired high-profile attorney Gloria Allred as her lawyer. Allred is famous for representing women caught in scandal -- from Ginger Lee, the porn star who alleges that Anthony Weiner coached her to lie for him when he was in trouble for sexing, to Rachel Uchitel, the woman famous for meddling in the marriages of Tiger Woods and David Boreanaz.
"Let me put it to you this way: I can't think of anything I would hire her to do," Cain laughed, referring to Allred. "I can't think of a thing."
In Cain's defense, we're not entirely sure he was actually listening to Kimmel at all. When Kimmel asked, "Do you think that the other candidates will follow suit and hire women to charge them with sexual harassment?" Cain responded, "If they're smart, they will."
He also told Kimmel he'd never smoked pot. Election time is fun, isn't it?
