Hilary Duff to new moms: It's OK to 'need to get away for a second'

Insider about the difficulties of raising a baby amidst paparazzi attention and how hard it is to get your pre-baby body back, despite how easy some celebrities make it look.

"It's hard having a baby and having paparazzi follow you all around all the time," says the actress, pictured above with husband Mike Comrie. "I haven't had to explain it to my son yet, what's going on. For the most part they respect me and they respect my space, but it's tough to always be photographed."

Duff goes on to say that it was hard to lose the 50 pounds she gained during her pregnancy. She eventually got the weight off by changing her diet and hiring a personal trainer. Hiking and cardio have been a big part of her workout routine.

She also says that new moms need to accept the fact that it's OK to need a break sometimes.

"It's kind of a heaviness at first, when to admit you just need to get away for a second, that's one thing I learned that is OK," says Duff.
