'Hire Tim Tebow' rally planned by Jacksonville Jaguars fans at 3:16 p.m.
Some fans are really invested in whether or not Tim Tebow gets picked up after being cut from the New England Patriots ... so much so, they're planning a rally for him.
A group of Jacksonville Jaguars fans are planning to hold a "Hire Time Tebow" rally in the EverBank Field parking lot at 3:16 p.m. ET on Monday (Sept. 16) to encourage the team to sign Tebow, NFL Insider Adam Schefter tweeted.
Now, why such a specific time? The Christian quarterback famously threw 316 yards and averaged 31.6 yards per completion, leading many to make religious connections to John 3:16, a famous Bible verse.
Tebow has also previously said that the very same Bible verse, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life," is his favorite, and he wore the Scripture verse on his eye black during the National Championship Game in 2009.
