'Hold It Against Me' video premiere: Britney Spears battles herself

Britney Spears has always been her own worst enemy, so it makes sense that she and her doppelganger would duke it out during her video for "Hold It Against Me."

Yes, after releasing what seemed like an endless barrage of teasers, we finally have the first video of her upcoming "Femme Fatale" album. But is it any good?

Directed by acclaimed music video maestro Jonas Akerlund, who most recently received acclaim for his collaborations with Lady Gaga, "HIAM" starts with a mysterious, Britney-filled asteroid crashing in Los Angeles.

Amidst the wreckage, a giant tower emerges, constructed of television screens playing classic Spears videos. And that's where she spends most of the following four minutes, clad in a wedding dress that may or may not be an homage to Madonna.

It's fun -- especially when things slow down and Brit enters stiletto'd mortal combat with herself -- but we can't help but want a little more (i.e. some sharper dance moves).

What do you think? And are we the only ones sort of reminded of Madonna's "Bedtime Story" video?
