'Homeland' preview: Damian Lewis plays the 'hero card'
On Sunday's "Homeland," Sgt. Nick Brody ( Damian Lewis) opens up and lets the press -- and the country -- find out a little more detail about his eight years in captivity by Muslim terrorists. He's finally -- as predicted by Saul ( Mandy Patinkin) -- "playing the hero card."
In the preview clip above, Brody is asked about the two pages-worth of "scars and identifying marks" on his post-rescue medical report. He admits he was beaten in captivity -- abused both physically and mentally.
"They want you to lose faith -- lose faith in your country which they say is the devil, in your brother Marines who they say aren't coming for you because you haven't got any military value and your wife, who they say has her arms wrapped around someone else."
The shadowy terror mastermind Abu Nazeer appears in Brody's flashbacks.
In a second clip, we also find out that one of Carrie's ( Claire Danes) assets may have some new information.
