'Hot in Cleveland' renewed for Season 5, will pass 100 episodes
Season 4 hasn't even finished airing yet -- new episodes premiere June 19 -- but Season 5 will shoot this fall. The sit-com has already been sold into syndication for a September 2014 launch and 100 episodes is traditionally a preferred base for syndication.
"Hot in Cleveland" premiered in the summer of 2010 with an impressive 4.75 million viewers and although the show was never able to match that figure again it has remained a steady performer for TV Land. The current fourth season has been averaging 1.31 million viewers.
The series stars Betty White, Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick. White, who is now 91-years-old, earned an Emmy nomination for the show in 2011.
