'Hot in Cleveland's' Betty White gets Madame Tussauds wax figure

betty-white-wax-figure-madame-tussauds.jpg Betty White, the 91-year-old Emmy winner who has graced our TV screens for over 50 years, has been immortalized in a very special way this week -- Madame Tussauds wax museum in Washington D.C. unveiled her wax figure.

Humane Society CEO Lisa LaFontaine was on hand to do the big reveal, as an homage to White's love of animals. The Washington Humane Society also had its mobile adoption center at the museum for visitors to adopt animals.

The star of "Hot in Cleveland," "Golden Girls" and "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," among other TV programs, has always been a passionate animal lover. The organizations she works with include Los Angeles Zoo Commission, the Morris Animal Foundation and Actors & Others for Animals.

The figure is above on the right -- they did a pretty good job with Ms. White's, we think.
