'House at the End of the Street' and 'End of Watch' top quiet Box Office weekend

jennifer-lawrence-house-at-the-end-of-the-street.jpgIt was a tight race at the Box Office this weekend, with "House at the End of the Street," "End of Watch," and "Trouble with the Curve" all within reach of the No. 1 spot. Though none of the films performed spectacularly, initial weekend box office estimates up them within spitting distance of each other and first place.

Jake Gyllenhaal-led "End of Watch" took the top spot, but the win over Jennifer Lawrence's horror movie "House at the End of the Street" was arbitrary. Both movies raked in an estimated $13 million, but "House at the End of the Street" was shown in more theaters, giving "End of Watch" the higher per-theater average and the win.

"Trouble With the Curve," starring Clint Eastwood, Justin Timberlake, Amy Adams, and several different chairs, fell only just short of the mark with $12.7 million.
