'House' renewal talks still going on; Alan Cumming re-ups with 'The Good Wife'

FOX and producer Universal Media Studios are still wrangling over the cost of an eighth season of "House" amid rumblings that the studio could shop it to another network -- like its corporate sibling NBC. People close to the situation say a deal with FOX will probably get done in time for the network's May 16 upfronts. [ Variety]

Eli Gold will continue to be a presence on "The Good Wife." The CBS series has signed Alan Cumming to a new three-year deal to continue as a cast regular. The show itself hasn't been picked up for next year yet, but it's a pretty safe bet. [ Deadline]

Fans still mourning the end of "Running Wilde" on FOX can take heart: The four previously unaired episodes will see the light of day after all. FX will run them at 10 p.m. ET Thursdays starting April 28. [ Hollywood Reporter]

TV Land is plotting a spinoff from its sitcom "Hot in Cleveland." The show has booked Cedric the Entertainer for a guest arc this summer in which he'll play a minister, with an eye toward giving him his own show. [ TV Land]
