here-comes-honey-boo-boo-premiere.jpgSuccessful reality TV shows are quite lucrative for networks since they're usually so cheap to produce, but new hit "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" sounds like a steal for TLC if recent reports about the Thompson family's salary are to be believed.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the self-proclaimed Georgia rednecks are making just $2,000 to $4,000 an episode, meaning they're getting $40,000 total for the 10-episode first season of the "Toddlers & Tiaras" spinoff. (TLC hasn't announced a Season 2, but with such great ratings it's inevitable.)

But Mama June reportedly laughed out loud when TMZ asked her about the report, implying that the family makes far more than that to bring their rowdy charm to television.

To put it into perspective, some of Bravo's "Real Housewives" stars and MTV's "Jersey Shore" kids make hundreds of thousands of dollars, so $40k is pennies.
