Howard Stern to replace Jimmy Fallon after he moves to 'Tonight Show' - report
The New York Post is reporting that Stern is being "'groomed' by NBC as the new Fallon." Of course, NBC's head of late night Doug Vaughan shot down the story, claiming that the Post's source is "incorrect and that the rumor is without merit."
The Post doesn't have much to go on, but at least Stern's wife, Beth Ostrosky Stern, is on board with the idea. "I always say that to him! He is one of the best interviewers out there," she said when the Post asked her about the late night rumor. The site then asked whether she'd try to talk her husband into tackling late night, and she said, "I am going to!"
The transition from Leno to Fallon -- if it does happen -- is reportedly supposed to take place at the end of the 2013-14 television season. That gives NBC about a year to find a suitable replacement for Fallon on "Late Night." Do you think Stern would be a good choice?
