Hugh Hefner: 'Playboy Club' should have been on cable, 'aimed at more adult audience'

hugh-hefner-playboy-club-cancellation.jpgPlayboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner was sad to hear about the cancellation of NBC's "The Playboy Club" after just three episodes. Hef tweets:

  • "I'm sorry NBC's 'The Playboy Club' didn't find its audience. It should have been on cable, aimed at a more adult audience."

  • "At the same time, there is renewed studio interest in a major motion picture on my life & the start of the Sexual Revolution."

  • "Fans of 'The Playboy Club' are really upset at the cancellation."

  • "There will be three more episodes of 'The Playboy Club'--six in all."

Hopefully the three un-aired episodes will be shown. Do you agree with his assessment - that the show should've been done on cable? It certainly could have had racier content that way.
