The people at Marvel really do keep delivering the goods when it comes to their upcoming movies. Between "Iron Man 3" posters, and a good look at the "Amazing Spider-Man 2" suit, they know how to keep their fans content. Now the time has come for them to throw out some content for "The Wolverine," the next installment in the X-Men franchise.
The Wolverine character already had one movie to himself, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," but this isn't a followup to that. Instead, this movie takes place later in the timeline, after "X-Men: The Last Stand." Logan, the Wolverine, travels to Japan to fight a new enemy in the new movie.
Marvel was good enough to release a couple photos from the film. They don't say a lot about the movie's plot, but they help to give an idea of what it will look like. In the first you get Hugh Jackman in character, as Wolverine, looking pretty angry. The second photo is a behind-the-scenes shot showing a giant hole in a concrete wall. No telling what went through the wall to create the hole, but the Wolverine character is unbreakable, so it wouldn't be crazy to think he did.
"The Wolverine" is in theaters this July, and is directed by James Mangold, who is also responsible for "Walk The Line." Not a lot has been seen of the film so far, but a motion teaser poster was released in December.
