'Hunger Games: Catching Fire': Johanna Mason won't be Mia Wasikowska

hunger-games-casting-rumor-mia-zoe.jpgWho will play the coveted roles of Finnick Odair and Johanna Mason in the upcoming "Hunger Games" sequel, "Catching Fire"? It's a question we're all asking -- and no one seems to be able to answer. These days, it seems everyone's got an inside source close to the film. Unfortunately, some of them are wrong.

Josh Hutcherson's "The Kids Are All Right" co-star Mia Wasikowska was recently brought up as one of two remaining actresses in the running to play the spitfire Hunger Games competitor Johanna. Indiewire claims that the casting director was torn between Wasikowska and a relative unknown, model Zoe Aggeliki.

Either Indiewire is wrong, or Aggeliki's got some good news coming, because Wasikowska will not be playing Johanna. Reps for Wasikowska confirm to EW that she has 'has neither been approached for the role, nor would be able to play it given other film commitments she has for 2012."

We're guessing this means that the entire report was bogus. The clock is ticking, though -- production on the film is set to begin this fall in Atlanta, Georgia.
