'Hunger Games' premiere: 'Jennifer Lawrence did an awesome job,' says Shailene Woodley

shailene-woodley-jennifer-lawrence-getty.jpg Shailene Woodley may have been one of the actresses considered for the role of Katniss Everdeen in "The Hunger Games," but don't expect sour grapes from "The Descendants" actress, who attended Monday's (March 12) premiere.

"[The movie] was excellent," she says. "I thought Jennifer Lawrence did an awesome job. And Josh Hutcherson [who plays Peeta] is such a good actor."

"The Secret Life of the American Teenager" star walked "The Hunger Games" red carpet in a floral Honor maxi dress. Lawrence, who plays Katniss in the film, donned a form-fitting gold gown for the premiere.

"The Hunger Games" opens in theaters March 23.
