It's not uncommon for a horror movie franchise to swap out characters and creative teams when it comes time to make a sequel. The "Insidious" franchise doesn't really follow those rules, though. The creative team and cast from the first are back for
"Insidious: Chapter 2," but there's also some new faces along for the ride.
Danielle Bisutti is one of those faces, she plays the Mother of Parker Crane, someone you really don't want to cross.
"She's horribly terrifying," Bisutti tells
Zap2it at the movie's premiere. "She's the mommy you never wanted to have, beyond a 'Mommie Dearest'." However, she thinks audiences will be able to get an idea of the pain her character goes through, adding, "She's not very shy about what she's not happy about and she definitely lets her son know where he displeases her."
As always, sequels are help up to the standard of the original and Danielle has some very serious memories about her first time watching "Insidious." "I almost peed my pants several times," she admits. Of course, she chose to watch in the scariest possible way: alone in bed, on her iPad at night. "That shows you how unschooled I am at horror films. I'm totally clueless when it comes to the genre."
As for the new movie, Bisutti is expecting to be just as scared, if not more. "I do have an extra pair of underwear with me in case I do pee a little bit," she says. It definitely sounds like it'll be terrifying.
"Insidious: Chapter 2" is in theaters Friday The 13th of September.
