Matthew McConaughey and director Christopher Nolan not only reach for the stars, but they land there in the newest trailer for "Interstellar," which premiered at San Diego Comic-Con 2014. It's now been released online at the "Interstellar" website, and can be accessed using the code "7201969" -- the date the United States landed on the moon.
Though the trailer focuses on the connection McConaughey's character's Cooper has with his son and daughter who he is forced to leave behind on his mission into space, it's those shots of the universe -- like the one above -- that are the most stunning moments of the video. Cooper and Anne Hathaway's Brand both even land on a foreign ice planet as they seek to save humanity.
In true Nolan fashion, "Interstellar" deals with abstract notions like wormholes, but this trailer proves that the film will also hit close to home. Also starring Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Wes Bentley, Topher Grace, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck and David Oyelowo, "Interstellar" is due in theaters on Nov. 7.
