'Iron Man 3': Does a new poster reveal the Iron Legion?

A new poster has been released for the upcoming "Iron Man 3" that shows just how bad things can get for Tony Stark. The poster, released by Yahoo!, shows a beaten down Stark ( Robert Downey Jr.) in a heavily-damaged Iron Man suit. Behind him, seven different Iron Man suits take to the sky.

If the film makes use of the "Extremis" virus, which has been rumored, it's possible those suits of armor are controlled by Stark himself, mentally. In the comics, the virus makes this possible, creating the Iron Legion. Of course, there are a number of explanations for those suits, including it simply being artistic interpretation. The background of the poster also features the destruction of Tony's home, which can be seen in the film's trailer. The poster follows Marvel releasing looks at other characters in the movie, including the film's villain, The Mandarin ( Ben Kingsley).

"Iron Man 3" finds Stark's personal world being destroyed by The Mandarin. Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, and Jon Favreau reprise their roles from the previous films, with Guy Pearce and Rebecca Hall joining the cast as scientists. The movie hits theaters May 3.
