Is Kim Kardashian's engagement ring going up for auction at Christie's?
A ring matching the exact dimensions of the engagement ring Kris Humphries gave to Kim Kardashian is going up for auction at Christie's, the famed New York City auction house.
According to the online catalog for the auction, a 16.21 center karat ring with two 1.8-karat side diamonds designed by Lorraine Schwartz is going up for auction on Oct. 15. The listing says it is "property of a gentleman," with a portion of the auction proceeds going to a charity. The ring will be sold as part of a lot called "Magnificent Jewels."
A rep for Christie's tells Rumor Fix that they cannot confirm the identity of the seller due to client confidentiality.
The ring is reportedly worth about $2 million. Kim K. originally wanted to keep it, but she would have had to pay Humphries the original price he paid for it, per their prenuptial agreement.
It is expected to fetch between $300,000 and $500,000 at Christie's.
