Isla Fisher reveals how she lost 70 pounds of baby weight
Isla Fisher has lost her pregnancy weight both the celebrity way and the normal way.
The wife of Sacha Baron Cohen gained 65 pounds when she had her daughter Olive in 2007, and then gained 70 when she had baby Elula in 2010. While the first time she was pregnant she had to slim down to film "Confessions of a Shopaholic" three months after she gave birth, the second time she didn't rush the weight loss process.
"I had to shoot 'Confessions of a Shopaholic' about three months after I gave birth to Olive, so the producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, hired a trainer to work with me three times a week," Fisher tells Fitness. "That was both inspirational and terrifying because I didn't want to let the trainer down."
She continues, "After I had my second daughter, I slowly lost the weight by breast-feeding, hiking [Los Angeles'] Runyon Canyon and working with a trainer every couple of weeks."
Fisher now has her pre-pregnancy body back, and she keeps in shape now by practicing yoga five times a week. She recently had to pack on 15 pounds for her role in "The Great Gatsby," which she said "mainly manifested itself in my boobs, which was very exciting. Sadly, that's gone now." But Fisher doesn't own a scale and says she is trying to be happy with the shape her body is.
"For me, so much about life is acceptance. You can look in the mirror and find a million things wrong with yourself. Or you can look in the mirror and think, 'I feel good, I have my health, and I'm so blessed,'" she says. "That's the way I choose to look at it. I don't need to be perfect. I'm doing just fine."
