The ninth season of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is fast approaching, and will be launching on the newly-christened FXX network. What could the gang possible have in store, after eight seasons of mayhem?

Well, the cast sat down to talk about their upcoming season before taking the stage at Comic-Con 2013. One episode will find a flu epidemic hit the city, something the gang is deathly afraid of catching. It seems they are preparing to audition to be the a capella opening act for Boyz II Men, and a flu would ruin their vocal chords. To be safe, they quarantine themselves in the bar.

Kaitlin Olson and Glenn Howerton agree that it's a ridiculous idea for an episode. However, as Olson puts it, "We just wanted to be able to sing a Boyz II Men song, so we made an episode about it." As for the song they'll be performing, get ready for the "Always Sunny" version of the singing group's hit "Motown Philly." If that's not enough, Danny DeVito will be nude and slathered in Purell, as well.

There will also be a big Thanksgiving episode this season. The gang realizes they have far too many "beefs" in town and it begins to affect their lives. "So like the Pilgrims and the Indians, we take Thanksgiving as an opportunity to squash our beef," Howerton says. The episode will feature the return of many fan favorite characters, from Gail the Snail ( Mary Lynn Rajskub) to Rickety Cricket ( David Hornsby).

"The Gang Saves the Day," will find the cast in the middle of a convenience store robbery. Viewers will then go into each of their fantasy worlds, to see how they would save the day. "As far as the Dennis character goes, it's a little questionable," Howerton admits.

In addition to those, there's the season premiere, "The Gang Broke Dee." That episode was screened for Comic-Con audiences during the "Always Sunny" panel and features Sweet Dee finding some success as a stand-up comedian. Throw in the "Lethal Weapon 6" and "Flowers for Charlie" episodes also mentioned at Comic-Con and this is shaping up to be the one of the best seasons of the show yet.

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" will premiere September 4 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FXX.
