It's Time Once Again for Fearless Predictions
That's the big reveal coming our way in the Super Bowl House episode this Sunday immediately following the big game on FOX.
I'm doubling down on it being Thirteen. Who is with me? Talk about who you think Wilson has been secretly dating below.
This Week's Topic
Last week we had so much fun talking about which shows were cancelled way too soon that I thought I'd make it a regular thing to pick a topic and, as Mike Myers used to say, talk amongst ourselves about it.
And since I've already over shared with you and we have no TV secrets, I thought this week we could discuss our first TV crush. As a child, I had two --Richie Cunningham (Ron Howard) on Happy Days and Frank Hardy (Parker Stevenson) on The Hardy Boys. I could tell you how my friend Kelly and I used to pretend we were on double dates with them (she always chose the Fonz and Joe Hardy) but that would be WAY too embarrassing.
Who was your first TV crush? Talk about it below.
Quotes of the Week
"I don't think we did the right thing Jack. I think it wants us to come back and it's going to do everything it can." Hurley to Jack on Lost. AAAAACCCK!
"You have just given this award to a hat rack." Tina Fey accepting her Screen Actors Guild Award and giving credit to Alec Baldwin for making her look good.
"Stress can give you premature grays. It doesn't make legendary British pop stars sing their greatest hits from your couch." Eli to his brother when they are trying to diagnose his hallucinations on Eli Stone. Thanks to Sandy for the quote.
"It's like fatal attraction all over again. Why does the rabbit always get screwed in the deal? Poor little guy." Dean when they find a dead rabbit in a witch's house on Supernatural.
"So the kid pretending to be your illegitimate son shot and killed your ex-wife's new husband. I think I saw that once on an episode of 'Falcon Crest.'" The detective to Duncan on Big Shots.
"I don't feel the way you feel about me. Move on." Lyla to Tim on Friday Night Lights. Sniff.
"My whole life is a big fat fight." Donald Trump on The Celebrity Apprentice.
"Have you ever considered using your power to, I don't know, bring peace to the Middle East." Wilson to House on House.
That's all for today. I'll be back on Monday with a look at the return of The New Adventures of Old Christine (yay!) and the premiere of the new CBS comedy Welcome to the Captain (booo!). I also have a look at the premiere of Lipstick Jungle and discuss how Lost is completely freaking me out (what did you think of this week's season premiere? Let me know.). Have a question? Seen a familiar face? Want to nominate a quote of the week? Write me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
