'Jack and Jill': Adam Sandler's new film ripped to shreds by critics

jack-and-jill-sony.jpgThe funniest thing about Adam Sandler's new comedy " Jack and Jill" appears to have nothing to do with the movie itself. If you want a good laugh, just read some of the scathing reviews of this cinematic disaster.

"Jack and Jill" is so bad that, as of this post, its Rotten Tomatoes score is an embarrassing 4 percent. The "Please put away your cell phone" warning before the movie starts probably has a higher rating.

Anyway, here are some of our favorite reviews. Now if you go see the film and hate it, don't say we didn't warn you.

San Jose Mercury News: "Suddenly, sitting through ' The Human Centipede' again doesn't seem like such a bad idea."

E! Online: "A Razzies sweep can't be far behind."

Salt Lake Tribune: "The one-joke story can't even pay off on that joke, as Sandler's idea of acting is throwing on a funny wig, a funny voice and just goofing around."

NY Times: "As for Mr. Sandler, I have always been interested in what he would do next, and I suppose I still am, especially if what he does next is retire."

Washington Post: "'Jack and Jill' truly exceeded my expectations. Because it is bad in ways so unimaginable, that it actually is borderline epic in its awfulness."

Tulsa World: "[It's] the actor's latest experiment in torture for anyone who's not a child or a mouth-breather with a mind of mush."

Time: "More than 24 hours has passed since I watched the new Adam Sandler movie Jack and Jill and I am still dead inside."
