World, meet your new Ben-Hur. Jack Huston has been cast as the titular character in a new telling of the biblical epic "Ben-Hur."

Deadline broke the news that the British "Boardwalk Empire" alum nabbed the part. He'll be joined by Morgan Freeman as the character Ildarin.

Arguably the most famous film version of "Ben-Hur" is the 1959 classic starring Charlton Heston. This new movie is being heralded as a more faithful adaptation of Lew Wallace's 1880 novel "Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ" instead of a straight remake.

"Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" director Timur Bekmambetov is helming the project, which is written by Keith Clarke and rewritten by John Ridley. The film will hit theaters on Feb. 26, 2016.
