Jack Nicholson retiring from acting because of memory loss?
According to a new rumor, Jack Nicholson's time in Hollywood has reached its end. RadarOnline.com quotes a source who claims that "Jack has -- without fanfare -- retired."
The source says, "There is a simple reason behind his decision -- it's memory loss. Quite frankly, at 76, Jack has memory issues and can no longer remember the lines being asked of him."
It didn't take long for another report to come out and shoot this one down. NBC's Maria Shriver confirms to E! News that claims of Nicholson retiring are a bunch of bologna. According to the site, Radar Online's reports are "100 percent false," and Nicholson isn't suffering from any memory-related illness. A different source tells E! that Nicholson is "actively reading scripts" and is "looking forward to his next project."
The three-time Oscar-winner has largely been absent from films for the past few years. His last movie was 2010's "How Do You Know," and before that was 2007's "The Bucket List." Nicholson did make headlines at the 2013 Academy Awards for hitting on Jennifer Lawrence.
