'Jackass' stuntman Ryan Dunn drunk when car crashed -- report
The Associated Press is reporting that Dunn's blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit. A toxicology report released by local authorities places Dunn's blood alcohol level at 0.196 at the time of the crash. The legal limit for drivers in the state is .08.
The day of the crash, film critic Roger Ebert posted a controversial Twitter comment about the crash, reading "Friends don't let jackasses drink and drive." He was loudly shouted down by Dunn's "Jackass" co-stars, friends and fans -- some of whom claimed there was no evidence (aside from a photo of Dunn drinking in a bar just hours before the crash) that Dunn had been drinking in a bar just hours before the crash.
A passenger, Zach Hartwell, was also killed in the early morning crash when Dunn -- driving in excess of 100 mph -- apparently lost control of his Porsche and it slammed into a tree, then burst into flames.
Now that we have preliminary confirmation that Dunn was in fact driving drunk, does that change how you feel about the appropriateness of Roger Ebert's tweet?
