Jake T. Austin: Hit-and-run and DUI for 'Wizards of Waverly Place' Disney kid

Jake T. Austin, an actor best-known for his role on Disney's "The Wizards of Waverly Place," is suspected in a four-car hit-and-run incident this morning. The accident comes just over a month after Austin was arrested and charged with a DUI after a police stop.

The 18-year-old actor, who currently appears on ABC Family's "The Fosters," was identified by witnesses as the driver of a car that slammed into at least three others on Tuesday (Nov. 19) morning. After the accident, the driver threw a vodka bottle out of the window and drove away before authorities arrived.

Even more indicative than witness accounts is the fact that the car involved in the hit-and-run seems to have been the same 2010 Audi with New York plates that, according to TMZ.com, Austin had been driving in October when police pulled him over for driving with no headlights. Sources indicate that the actor then blew a .08 in a field sobriety test and was charged with a DUI.

It is thus possible that the young actor could be charged with two separate, driving-related felonies for the incidents. There has been no official word from Austin or the Los Angeles police on the matter.
