With the kind of money she's pulling in, Janet Jackson can afford to buy a "Rhythm Nation," if she so chooses. The singer, and member of the Jackson family, has officially joined the ranks of the billionaires club, according to Variety (via Yahoo).
Between albums, movies and touring, Jackson joins Madonna who became a billionaire after ticket sales on her last tour. Of Jackson's fortune, over $500 million has come from touring and tour sponsorships, with another $260 million from album sales. Her acting work has brought in $304 million.
Janet isn't the only billionaire in her world. Her husband, Wissam Al Mana, is a member of the exclusive club himself. Wissam runs Al Mana Retail with his family, bringing luxury shopping to the middle east.
Janet may be able to line her pockets a little more soon enough. When asked about a new album by Billboard, she responds "I am working on a new project now." No word on when to expect that album yet, though.
