Jason Aldean to discuss cheating scandal, divorce in Robin Roberts pre-CMA interview
Country music super star Jason Aldean is finally going to open up about his cheating scandal that resulted in his divorce for "In the Spotlight With Robin Roberts: Countdown to the CMA Awards."
In the special, airing on ABC, "Aldean opens up exclusively to Roberts about fame, family, and tabloid headlines he says helped end his marriage," according to the network.
Back September 2012, the country star was caught on camera canoodling with former "American Idol" contestant Brittany Kerr. Aldean took to Facebook to admit his wrongdoing. "I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar," Aldean wrote. "I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that's the end of the story. I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself." Kerr also issued a public apology, calling the get together "a lapse in judgment," but the damage was done: the scandal resulted in divorce for Aldean and his wife of nearly 12 years, Jessica Ussery.
"In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Countdown to the CMA Awards," a special edition of "20/20," airs Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
