Jenna Talackova never asked to see Donald Trump's genitals, Trump not apologizing
"I wish Mr. Trump would just say in plain words whether or not I will be allowed to compete, and if I win, whether I'd be allowed to represent Canada in the Miss Universe competition," she said in a statement at a Tuesday (April 3) press conference with her attorney Gloria Allred. "I also want Mr. Trump to clearly state that this rule be eliminated, because I do not want any other woman to suffer the discrimination that I have endured."
"We're asking Mr. Trump to step up and be a leader in the fight against discrimination," Allred added.
She also said that Talackova had never asked to see Trump's genitals, so she didn't understand why he should be so interested in seeing hers.
"There will be no apology whatsoever," Trump tells TMZ. "If [Jenna] can compete that's great. If she doesn't want to compete because she doesn't think she'll win, that's fine. I couldn't care less."
The Miss Universe Organization, a partnership between NBC and Trump, said in a statement Monday, "The Miss Universe Organization will allow Jenna Talackova to compete in the 2012 Miss Universe Canada pageant provided she meets the legal gender recognition requirements of Canada, and the standards established by other international competitions."
Talackova called the statement "confusing."
Should Trump apologize to Talackova? Should he clarify the statement?
