Jennie Garth and Luke Perry developing a sitcom together

luke-perry-jennie-garth-sitcom-gi.jpgIt's a bummer that Kelly and Dylan aren't actually dating in real life, but here's some good news for you "Beverly Hills, 90210" lovers rooting for the couple, who totally have a kid together (according to the new "90210" cannon): Jennie Garth and Luke Perry are still collaborating -- on a potential new sitcom.

RumorFix reports that the former costars are creating a comedy that will "play up their chemistry," according to an insider.

Garth's rep confirmed the project, saying, "They have been spending a lot of time together recently because the two are working on developing a TV sitcom together. It will be a multi-camera half hour show, currently we have producers and writers and are meeting with networks."

Perry is no stranger to producing television -- he created his own Hallmark movie franchise that started with "Goodnight for Justice," which was directed by another former "BH"-her, Jason Priestley.
