Jennifer Grey bookends 'Dancing With the Stars' with Viennese Waltz encore
Grey had the same problem -- while she rehearsed her first dance, the Viennese Waltz with partner Derek Hough, she was overcome by memories of her "Dirty Dancing" co-star Patrick Swayze, who succumbed to cancer in 2009.
Given the opportunity to reprise a favorite dance, Hough suggested they do the Argentine tango, but Grey decided to take on the Viennese Waltz once again, bookending her time on "Dancing With the Stars."
She wasn't going to thinking about her "Dirty Dancing" days, this time. "This Viennese Waltz, I'm very connected to Derek and what we've gone through together, which has been a lot," Grey said.
The pair performed to Otis Redding's "These Arms of Mine," and were rewarded with a perfect score from every judge. Carrie Ann told Jennifer she had a "new wisdom in [her] body," while Len called her an "irresistable force" and Bruno found the routine "blissfully beautiful."
Watch their first performance of the Viennese Waltz below. Can you see the difference as Grey dances with the past in mind?
