Jennifer Grey: Cancer on 'House,' fox trot on 'Dancing With the Stars'

Spoiler Alert -- don't keep reading if you don't want to be spoiled on either show.

On "House," Grey was Abbey, a woman who has a grown daughter,Justine, but gives birth to another daughter, Kayla, with a severe breathing problem and liver failure. Justine isn't close with Abbey and is a little jealous of her new baby sister and how much her mom loves the baby, claiming Abbey never loved her that much.

When Abbey's blood makes the baby better but no one else's blood does, the team realizes Abbey gave her baby skin cancer, which she had when she became pregnant. The reason Abbey didn't know she had skin cancer is because she also has lung cancer, which had been treating the skin cancer. It's why Abbey's blood was making Kayla better.

So Abbey chooses to keep giving Kayla her blood until Kayla is healthy, instead of putting her through chemo. But of course, during the nine days of giving her blood to Kayla, Abbey dies of an embolism. Postmortem, they can harvest Abbey's blood to treat Kayla, who ends up with her big sister Justine.

But over on ABC, Jennifer Grey was alive and well. She and partner Derek Hough danced a relaxed fox trot to "Love and Marriage," the theme song from "Married With Children," as the musical theme this week was TV Show Theme Songs. How do you think she and Derek did? The judges gave them 8-8-9 for a 25 total.

Here's a clip of Jennifer on "House" and on "Dancing With the Stars."
