Former WNBA star Chamique Holdsclaw and current Tulsa Shock forward Jennifer Lacy were teammates on the 2008-2009 Atlanta Dream. The pair also had a dating relationship which turned violent, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Holdsclaw was arrested and held on $100,000 bond after allegedly smashing in the windows of Lacy's Range Rover before shooting into the vehicle with a 9 mm gun.
Lacy says she was working out at a church gym when Holdsclaw approached her. When Lacy left the gym, she says Holdsclaw followed her in another vehicle. When Lacy drove to a friend's house and pulled over, Holdsclaw left her vehicle and launched the attack.
She now faces multiple charges, including two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of criminal damage to property and one count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Lacy was uninjured, and Holdsclaw turned herself in to Atlanta police.
Holdsclaw was the WNBA No. 1 draft pick in 1999, when she went to play for the Washington Mystics and was named WNBA's Rookie of the Year. She last played for the San Antonio Silver Stars in 2010. She is also an Olympic gold medalist, having played for the USA National Team in the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.
