Jennifer Lawrence might not have been advertised to appear at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, but there were some awkward moments throughout the night that made it seem as though she was supposed to be. From Bradley Cooper accepting Best Kiss solo to Lawrence's Best Female Performance win not being announced, something felt off.

According to Deadline, Lawrence was supposed to be at the Movie Awards but "there was a scheduling conflict" that caused her to miss the show. That's why just Liam Hemsworth presented the "Catching Fire" trailer solo, according to the site. Reports claim that producers at the Movie Awards didn't realize until the last minute that Lawrence wouldn't be attending.

The same seemed to be the case for Cooper, who said during his Best Kiss acceptance speech, "Thanks so much. Jen's not here. I'm sorry. I know. But, she was great to kiss." MTV claims the Movie Awards audience was "audibly upset" by Lawrence's absence.

Despite the fact Lawrence missed this year's awards show, you can bet she'll be at the 2014 MTV Movie Awards. With "Catching Fire" due out on Nov. 22, the much-anticipated film will likely earn a number of nominations next year.
