Jennifer Lopez puts producer hat on, CNN fires Rick Sanchez, Paris Hilton gets a new show

New "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez is executive producing a pilot in development at ABC. The project, written by Alexa Junge ("Friends," "Big Love"), is a dramedy about an extended family as seen through the eyes of three Latina nannies who work for the clan. It predates her "Idol"/production deal with FOX, hence its finding a home at ABC. [ Variety]

Paris Hilton is getting another TV show, on yet another network. Oxygen has greenlit a show that will follow Hilton in "the next stage of her life" and also feature her friends Brooke Mueller (Charlie Sheen's ex), Jennifer Rovero and Allison Melnick. [ Oxygen]

CNN has fired anchor Rick Sanchez after Sanchez called "Daily Show" host Jon Stewart a "bigot" and seemed to make disparaging remarks about Jews in the media during a radio interview. [ Hollywood Reporter]

MTV's programming chief, Tony DiSanto, and head of series development Liz Gateley are leaving the cable network. David Janollari, a former president of The WB, is expected to move up and take DiSanto's job. [ Deadline]

The top-rated show among adults 18-49 at 10 p.m. Thursday wasn't on broadcast TV: "Jersey Shore" hit a series high with a 3.4 in the demo and 6.7 million viewers. [ The Live Feed]
