Lifetime has given the green light to a reboot of the actress' 2010 movie, "The Client List," as a hour-long television series.

Deadline reports the network ordered 10 episodes, scheduled to air in 2012.

"The Client List," a fictionalized account of a 2004 Texas scandal involving a single mother who turned to prostitution to make ends meet, earned a Golden Globe nomination for Hewitt and brought in 3.9 million viewers for Lifetime during its July 2010 premiere.

Hewitt didn't just play the leading lady of the night, though. She served as executive producer alongside her production company, Fedora Films. The series will find her reprising both roles.

How, exactly, "The Client List" will translate to a series remains unseen. The original movie ended with Hewitt's character, Sam Horton, out of jail, working as a waitress and seemingly set to rekindle with her ex. So to keep the prostitution story serial, the series seems poised to be a retelling and not a direct continuation.
