'Jersey Shore' Season 6 premiere: Is the gang more mature this year?Add to Favorites | Jersey Shore
Plus, consider the fact that going into the house, all of the girls are in relationships (as is Ronnie and sort-of Mike), Vinnie is trying to be celibate, and Mike and Snooki are both sober. This is not the same naive, hard-partying crew we first met in Season 1.

That's not to say the last year down the shore with the gang isn't going to be full of drunken debauchery, it just seems like this will be slightly tamer, more self-aware debauchery.
The three main conflicts in the first two episodes revolved around Snooki, Mike and Deena. Snooki's drama comes from the fact that she's pregnant and doesn't really want to live in a house full of drunk idiots coming home at sunrise and sleeping until 5 p.m. This is very logical and everyone understood why she wanted to leave.
Mike is usually the biggest partier, so being the sober one was an interesting position to be in. He realized how dumb everyone acts when they're wasted, and how much easier it is to live like a normal human and wake up at normal, adult hours in the morning if you haven't been boozing until 5 a.m.
Deena looks like she'll be the cause of the most drama this year. She is completely obsessed with her boyfriend and cries at the drop of a hat. She's one of those annoying girls who can only talk about her man and how much she misses him. We're already rolling our eyes.
What did you think of the first two episodes of Season 6? Does the "Jersey Shore" gang seem more mature to you, or have we just watched so much of this show that we're reading way too much into it?
