'Jersey Shore' to meet 'The View': Snooki, Snooki, Joy, Joy!
Bill Geddie, "The View's" version of "The Situation" (and the show's exec producer) announced that the cast of the MTV show will be hitting up the opinionated morning divas on Tue. Feb. 23. It's clear the meeting will be fairly juiced.
"I haven't seen it," said Behar sarcastically when "Jersey Shore" was "The View's" Hot Topic. "I was too busy stomping grapes and making ravioli."
Behar (who is actually of Italian descent, though she jokes that people mistake her for Jewish) has criticized the show for its Italian-American stereotyping.
"['Jersey Shore'] is just a low-life silly, stupid show," adds Behar. "I don't even care about it, except it makes people think that's the way we are."
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, on the other hand, addressed critics like Behar when she appeared on "The Wendy Williams Show" back in December of last year.
"The Italian, whatever, national, whatever their organization is," as Snooki so eloquently put it. "They don't understand that guidos and guidettes are good-looking people that, you know, like to make a scene and be the center of attention and just take care of themselves. They are old fashioned."
Hmm, we wonder if Snooki will have the guts to call Behar "old-fashioned" to her face. Maybe, she'll just call her a "grenade." That'd be better (for us).
Please believe we'll have our DVR set for the inevitable fallout. Who do you have your money on: Snooki or Joy?
