Jesse Tyler Ferguson marries Justin Mikita in New York City
Ferguson and Mikita tied the knot on Saturday (July 20) in Manhattan, Us Weekly confirms. The ceremony was held at the 82 Mercer space in front of over 200 guests, including Ferguson's "Modern Family" co-stars J ulie Bowen, Ty Burell and Eric Stonestreet, as well as Padma Lakshmi, Jerry O'Connell, Rebecca Romijn, Zachary Quinto, Isaac Mizrahi, Nigel Barker, Cat Deely, Mary Murphy and Tyce Diorio.
After nearly two years of dating, Ferguson proposed to Mikita, a lawyer, in Mexico in Sept. 2012. In March, he revealed to the magazine just why the couple had chosen New York for their nuptials. "We wanted to get married in New York, because that's where it's legal, so we want to support the state that's in support of us," he said.
The pair have co-designed the "Tie The Knot" bow tie collection, which donates all proceeds to groups dedicated to advancing equality and LGBT rights.
Congrats to the happy couple!
