Jetman! Real superhero flies alongside jet planes
Yves "Jetman" Rossi is 52, and has spent the last 15 years developing his personal jet-propelled wing, an apparatus that allows him to fly. In 2006, he became the first man to fly with a jet wing, and he remains the only one who has.
In 2008, the Swiss pilot crossed the English Channel by air, following the route taken by Louis Blériot, who was the first person to do so (in a plane, mind you) 99 years earlier. He also crossed the Grand Canyon.
This week, Rossi added another achievement to his soaring list of accomplishments when he flew with the Breitling Jet Team. The two jets, flying in formation alongside Rossi, flew at their minimum speed so he could keep up. The beautiful flight took place over the Swiss Alps.
