Jimmy Fallon: We had Winnie Rose via a surrogate

When Jimmy Fallon announced that he and wife Nancy Juvonen Fallon had their first child, a daughter named Winnie Rose, on July 23, it came as something of a shock. According to him, that's because they had their baby via a surrogate, and kept the news they were expecting to themselves.

"It wasn't really a secret, but my wife and I had been trying for awhile to have a baby. We've tried a bunch of different things, so we had a surrogate," Fallon tells Today. "This time we just said we're not going to tell anybody, it'd be just more fun if it's just private between me and my wife and then we get to introduce her to everybody."

So what happened when they actually managed to have a daughter? Fallon says he and Nancy panicked and had to call everyone they knew. "When it happened we were in shock. We're like, 'Alright, who do we tell? Who's going to be mad at us if this gets out?'" he says. ""We had to call everybody and it's so emotional when you call everybody."

One of those people Fallon told was Jennifer Aniston, who surprised him on his show with a little Winnie the Pooh toy. "She's about the size of this, she's so tiny," Fallon gushed at the time.
