J.K. Rowling says next book will be for younger children

jk-rowling-casual-vacancy.jpg "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling has had all eyes on her new project recently, her book for adults called "The Casual Vacancy." It received mixed reviews from critics and fans alike. But Rowling says with her next project, she'll get back to her roots.

"I think probably the next thing I write, or the next thing I publish, will be for children," the author tells the audience at the Cheltenham Literature Festival.

She went on to say she has "a number of ideas on [her] laptop" and that the book will be for "younger children than the 'Harry Potter' series."

That's exciting. Do you suppose lightning could strike twice and Rowling could kick off another book series that becomes as beloved as the "Harry Potter" series?
