J.Lo's demands led to her not performing at India cricket tournament - report
Jennifer Lopez's "diva J.Lo" demands led to her reportedly losing the opportunity to perform during the opening ceremony of India's Premier League cricket tournament. She had been in talks for the gig -- which would have put her in charge of 60 million viewers -- but sources claim that her list of requests led to officials at Pepsi IPL booking Pitbull instead.
The New York Post reports that Lopez's manager Benny Medina had asked for Lopez to have a private plane and a number of hotel rooms for her "huge entourage," which included an "army" of stylists, assistants and a personal chef. "The demands made on behalf of Jennifer were outrageous. She effectively priced herself out of the event," the Post's source says. "It was an idiotic move because the audience for this event is huge. It's like the Super Bowl halftime show. Last year it drew 56 million viewers."
Of course, Lopez's representative has a different story. According to the rep, J.Lo's schedule was too busy to accommodate the April 2 performance. "An offer was made to perform; the date conflicted with Jennifer's current music-recording schedule for an album due this summer," the rep says.
