joan-rivers-out-of-intensive-care.jpgLegendary comedian Joan Rivers has moved out of intensive care and into a private room, her daughter Melissa announced in a statement (Sept 3).

Melissa issued an update on Rivers' condition saying, "My mother has been moved out of intensive care and into a private room where she is being kept comfortable. Thank you for your continued support."

Rivers has been in the I.C.U. for one week, after going into cardiac arrest during a medical procedure Aug. 26. Daughter Melissa has been continuously providing updates on her mother, such as announcing Rivers was on life support at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York this past weekend.

"On behalf of my mother and our family, we are extremely grateful for all the love and support we've received. At this time she does remain on life support," she said. "I know my mother would be overwhelmed by the continued outpouring of kindness and I want to thank everyone for keeping us in their prayers."

There is no update on Rivers' condition at this time.
