Joan Rivers hit up the Advocate.com saying that when it comes to her WE TV reality show, "Joan Knows Best," she keeps it real. And that goes for her opinions on other celebrities, as well.
Recently, she and FOX News got into a public brawl after she accused the network of canceling her appearance on "FOX & Friends" for making some disparaging comments about Sarah Palin. She insists she doesn't hate everything about the former vice-presidential candidate and reality star. After all, she makes for a good comedian's muse.
"Thank you, thank you, God," Rivers says. "For her sending that daughter who can't dance to 'Dancing With the Stars.'
She adds, "As a comedian you pray for things like this. Oh, yes! The only thing we're being careful of is poor Zsa Zsa Gabor and her one leg. I have a great joke, but I just can't do it yet. [Laughs] But, yes, you pray for things like that."
And when it comes to "Two and a Half Men" star Charlie Sheen's recent antics, she has some motherly advice for him.
"I think he's an a**," she says. "When you have a child, darling, you'd better start setting an example. Childhood for you is over when you have a child. I find it outrageous to be carrying on like that. I also think that when you get the gold ring you have an obligation."
The living legend then gets nostalgic. "The old studio system made you have an obligation to live a clean life and be the example," she says. "What am I going to tell my grandson who watches 'Two and Half Men'? I just think he's awful."
Does Joan keep it real or what?
