Joe Eszterhas claims Mel Gibson wanted Oksana Grigorieva killed and still hates Jews

mel-gibson-hates-jews-getty.jpg Mel Gibson is involved in another entertainment battle, this time stemming from screenwriter Joe Eszterhas, who writes in a nine-page letter obtained by TheWrap that Gibson never intended to make "The Maccabees," a movie about Jewish hero Judah Maccabee.

Eszterhas alleges that Gibson only announced the project "in an atttempt to deflect continuing charges of anti-Semitism which have dogged [Gibson], charge which have crippled [his] career."

"I've come to the conclusion that the reason you won't make 'The Maccabees' is the ugliest possible one. You hate Jews," adds Eszterhas.

The letter has other harsh words for Gibson. It characterizes him as "wild, crazed and explosive," alleges that he threatened to have ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva killed and claims that he refers to Jewish people as "oven-dodgers" and calls the Holocaust "mostly a lot of horses***."

Eszterhas also says that Gibson's only intention in making "The Maccabees" was to convert Jews to Christianity.

Gibson has not responded to the letter yet. But Grigorieva's rep tells TMZ in regards to the alleged threats to kill Oksana, "Mr. Eszterhas' charges are extremely serious and should be investigated by the authorities immediately."
