Joe Montana's son Nick Montana transferring to Tulane
Montana comes out of Mount San Antonio College in California, where last year he threw for over 2500 yards and 22 touchdowns. He originally saw action at the University of Washington out of high school before transferring to the junior college. When Montana transfers to Tulane, he will participate in spring practice and have two years of college eligibility remaining.
Tulane head coach Curtis Johnson tells Fox 8, "We are very excited about the addition of Nick to our program. He was very high on our list for this year's class. Nick is a highly intelligent player who has a very accurate arm and has incredible leadership skills, and he is a proven winner. We will have a young group of quarterbacks next season so we made it a priority to bring in an experienced player at that position. We believe Nick will have an immediate impact on our program."
Montana will be joining a Tulane team that is returning 39 of 54 veteran players from the 2012 team, which finished 2-10 as part of Conference USA.
